The bus travels from Hayward through I-880 and CA-24, about 45 minutes, so give us plenty of notice for a dawn departure. Northbound trips usually use I-680 over the Benicia-Martinez Bridge, which may mean a toll on the quote. CA-242 and Clayton Road get crowded in the afternoon, and Pavilion concerts add traffic on some nights. Black Diamond Mines and other foothill spots get a look at the route and the bus size before we confirm.

What to get from a SPAB carrier

Under California Vehicle Code 546, a school pupil activity bus is a vehicle other than a schoolbus that a carrier runs under contract with a school, taking pupils in 12th grade or below to or from a public or private school activity.

Vehicle Code 12517 calls for a license endorsed for passenger transportation, and the driver's certificate comes from the DMV.

Ask us for any of these when you book. Our drivers are our own employees, and every bus has lap-and-shoulder belts.

How early does a Concord trip to the Capitol need to leave?

Give us the time your tour begins, and we will count backward from there. Include any lunch stop as well, because it changes both the departure and the driver's day.

Can Concord teams book every away game at once?

You can send a full season list at one time. We will look at each date, location and return, and flag any game that needs a different bus or earlier report.

Does a Pavilion concert affect a Concord school bus?

Only on a late return, and usually only near Kirker Pass Road. Check the concert calendar if your group gets back after dark, and tell us of any overlap.
